    This may be a stupid question, but does Elizabeth have underwear? I know Lissie doesn't, so I was curious.

    I think the reason Felicity and Elizabeth didn't have underwear is because Colonists didn't wear underwear during the Revolution.

    Elizabeth only wears her shift and stocking - just like Felicity which is acurate for that time. Pantaloons were first worn during the Empire time - about 20 years later.

    Elizabeth's shift is much nicer than Felicity's. It velcroes in the back, fits tighter, and there's no elastic at the top.
